WhatRUHungry4 is a restaurant discovery app that helps you decide where to eat using a fun spinning wheel. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Yelp Fusion API

Restaurant data in WhatRUHungry4 is powered by Yelp. When you search for restaurants:

• Your approximate location is sent to Yelp to find nearby restaurants
• Search terms you enter are sent to Yelp
• Yelp returns restaurant names, ratings, photos, and details

Yelp's use of this data is governed by Yelp's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

• Google Analytics for Firebase - Privacy Policy
• Apple App Analytics (iOS only) - Privacy Policy

Advertising (Free Version Only)

• Google AdMob - Privacy Policy

Premium/paid users do not see advertisements.

In-App Purchases

All purchases processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never receive your payment information.

How We Use Your Location

Your location is essential for WhatRUHungry4 to work. Here's exactly what happens:

1. You open the app and grant location permission
2. When you spin the wheel, your current coordinates are determined
3. Coordinates are sent to Yelp API with your search parameters
4. Yelp returns nearby restaurants matching your criteria
5. Results are displayed in the app
6. Your location is NOT stored anywhere after the search

Location Permission Levels

• "While Using the App" - Recommended. Location only accessed when app is open.
• "Always" - Not required. We never use background location.
• "Never" - App will not function without location access.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• ❌ Your name or email (unless you contact support)
• ❌ Precise location history
• ❌ Contacts
• ❌ Photos or camera data
• ❌ Microphone or audio
• ❌ Health or fitness data
• ❌ Browsing history
• ❌ Payment information (handled by App Store/Play Store)

Data Storage and Security

Your favorites, custom wheels, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data may be backed up by:

• iOS: iCloud backup (if enabled)
• Android: Google backup (if enabled)

If you uninstall the app, local data will be deleted. Cloud backups are controlled by your device settings.

Your Rights and Choices

Location Permissions

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → WhatRUHungry4
• Android: Settings → Apps → WhatRUHungry4 → Permissions → Location

Opt-Out of Personalized Ads

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Turn off "Personalized Ads"
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization"

Delete Your Data

To delete all app data:

1. In-app: Go to Settings → Clear All Data
2. Or uninstall the WhatRUHungry4 app
3. Delete cloud backups if desired

Children's Privacy

WhatRUHungry4 is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@abetterappcompany.com.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

• Request deletion of personal information
